We have done an extensive testing and benchmarking to ENSURE that we run a SECURE and FAIR INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION for all contestants.
Hence we seek your cooperation and support to implement the measures we have put in place to make the contest a FAIR competition for all contestants. Please advice your child NOT to share the questions with their friends or post them in ANY MEDIA, as this will disadvantage them and will NOT BE FAIR for other contestants.
Parents are recommended to test the necessary equipment the day before the contest as students will not be allowed to take part if any of the required equipment is not working. Thank you for your kind understanding and unwavering support.

7 Prestigious Online International Competitions (国际竟赛) Organised by The World Contests (TWC)
The World Contests (TWC) organises 7 prestigious online international competitions for schools and private candidates in April 2026 for Primary 1 to Secondary 3 (Grade 1 to Grade 9):
1) World English Competition 2026 (国际英文竟赛2026) – 18th April 2026, Saturday, @ 9am, Singapore Time
2) World English Olympiad 2026 (国际英文奥林匹克竞赛2026) – 11th April 2026, Saturday, @ 9am, Singapore Time
3) World Chinese Competition 2026 (国际华文竟赛2026) – 4th April 2026, Saturday, @ 9am, Singapore Time
4) World Math Competition 2026 (国际数学竟赛2026), 5th April 2026, Sunday, @ 9am, Singapore Time
5) World Math Olympiad 2026 (国际奥数竟赛2026), 12th April 2026, Sunday, @ 9am, Singapore Time
6) World Science Competition 2026 (国际科学竟赛2026), 19th April 2026, Sunday, @ 9am, Singapore Time
7) World Science Olympiad 2026 (国际奥科竟赛2026), 26th April 2026, Sunday, @ 9am, Singapore Time
Registration opens from 1st November 2025 to 30th March 2026. Results will be released by 1st May 2026. TWC will inform the schools of private candidates as well as school teachers of their results and achievements.
To ensure fairness and effectiveness for these online competitions, TWC has put in place 3 advanced features:
1) Live invigilation of all the contestants during the competitions using 2 devices
2) Automatic live video recording of search history during the competitions
3) Automatic live video recording of all the contestants during the competitions
After the release of the competition results on 1st May 2026, all contestants will be able to:
a) view the complete set of competition questions that are marked and their total score on their student dashboard
b) learn from the detailed worked solutions and explanations for all the questions in the competitions
c) obtain an individual detailed academic report that will analyse every contestant
d) get acknowledgement from TWC (via email) that their results are sent to their schools and school teachers
Instructions For Parents:
Welcome to The World Contests (TWC). Please spend at least 10 minutes to read through the instructions carefully before the competition starts.
Items required for Parents:
1) Handphone or laptop with built – in camera
2) Parents’ Google Meet Link or Zoho Meeting Link
3) Internet Connection
Rules and Set up:
1) Ensure that the laptop or handphone is working before the contest.
2) Make sure the laptop or handphone is charged 100% or is plugged into a power source before the contest.
3) Parents will login to Google Meet using the Parents’ Google Meet Link or Zoho Meeting using the Parents’ Zoho Meeting Link. The purpose of the parents’ laptop or handphone is for us to monitor your child while he/she is taking the competition. Hence it must be positioned according to our instructions in the subsequent page.
4) Please disable your virtual background during the contest.
5) You must turn on your camera at all time. Your child is not allowed to take the contest if you refuse to turn on your camera.
6) If your laptop or handphone does not have a working camera, you must quickly switch to another device for the competition.
7) If the video disconnects without a valid reason after 1 warning, we will disqualify your child.
8) If you get DISCONNECTED DURING THE COMPETITION,
- a) you should login to the Google Meet or Zoho Meeting again immediately.
- b) you must use another device if you get disconnected the SECOND TIME.
How to set – up Parents’ device:
Set up the handphone or laptop so that there is an unobstructed view of the student. Also ensure that the computer screen can be seen. (Please refer to the image below for correct and incorrect examples)
Instructions For Contestants:
Welcome to The World Contests (TWC). You must spend 10 minutes to read through the instructions carefully before you start the competition.
Items required for Contestants:
1) Laptop or Desktop with built – in webcam
2) Contestants’ Google Meet Link or Zoho Meeting Link
3) Contestant ID and Password
4) Internet Connection
5) White and blank A4 papers for workings
Rules and Set up:
1) Contestants are NOT allowed to use calculators or electronic devices of any kind for this contest.
2) Contestants are not allowed to record or capture any of the questions. Contestants caught doing so will be disqualified and their scores will be void.
3) Ensure that the computer is working before the contest.
4) Make sure that you test your Google Meet or Zoho Meeting setup as shown below:
a) Change your existing name in Google Meet to your contestant ID before you login to the Google Meet. CONTROL + CLICK on this link to see how to do it.
b) Check that your computer camera is working when you join the Google Meet or Zoho Meeting.
c) Test and make sure that you can share screen, turn off virtual background and mute your speaker.
5) Make sure your computer is plugged into a power source. You are not allowed to walk around once the contest starts.
6) You have your own Google Meet Link or Zoho Meeting Link which is different from your parents’ Google Meet Link or Zoho Meeting Link.
7) Please enter the Contestants’ Google Meet or Zoho Meeting using your contestant ID and turn on your camera so that the invigilators have an unobstructed view of the contestant. You may join the Google Meet or Zoho Meeting by using either the URL or the Google Meet ID / Zoho Meeting ID and Password.
8) Please disable your virtual background during the contest.
9) Contestants are only allowed to communicate with the invigilators and are not allowed to communicate with other contestants in any form whatsoever. Contestants who are found to have broken this rule will be disqualified and their scores will be void.
10) Should you face any issues, “raise your hand” via Google Meet / Zoho Meeting or send us a chat message and one of the TWC Invigilators will assist you.
11) Contestants must turn on your camera at all times. You are not allowed to take the contest if you refuse to turn on your camera. We will assign you to a breakout room if you are unable to turn on your camera due to technical issues. Please inform the invigilator accordingly.
12) If both your parent’s device and your computer do not have working cameras, you will not be allowed to take part in the competition.
13) If the video disconnects without a valid reason after 1 warning, we will disqualify you and your score will be void.
14) If you get DISCONNECTED DURING THE COMPETITION,
a) you should login to the Google Meet / Zoho Meeting and TWC Contestant Online System again. The timing will resume, and all your answers are saved up to the last question answered.
b) you must be aware that all the questions will be randomised when you login again, and you need to check all your earlier answers again.
c) you may call or WhatsApp (+65) 91098835 for immediate assistance if you get disconnected the SECOND TIME.
15) Only after you have submitted your answers and completed the test / when time is up, will you be given instructions on what to do next by the invigilator.
You must spend another 10 minutes to read through the instructions carefully before you start the contest.
□ Fairness and security of our competition is very important for all of our contestants. We will disqualify contestants who do not follow our instructions.
□ Please open only 2 browser tabs on your computer. The 1st browser tab is for theworldcontests.com and the 2nd browser tab is for the contestants’ Google Meet / Zoho Meeting.
□ Please change your existing name on your Google Meet to your contestant ID before you login to the Google Meet. CONTROL + CLICK on the link to see how to do it.
□ Ensure that you are muted when you login to your Google Meet or Zoho Meeting.
□ Should you face any issues, “Raise your hand” via Google Meet / Zoho Meeting or send us a chat message and one of the TWC Invigilators will assist you.
□ Please use white A4 paper for all your workings.
□ Please close all your other applications or browser tabs except for Google Meet / Zoho Meeting before you login to TWC Contestant Online System.
□ If you get DISCONNECTED DURING THE COMPETITION, you should login to the Google Meet / Zoho Meeting and TWC Contestant Online System again. The timing will resume, and all of your answers are saved up to the last question answered. You need to check all your earlier answers again.
□ You may call or WhatsApp (+65) 91098835 for immediate assistance if you get disconnected the SECOND TIME.
□ Do not share the questions with your friends or post them in ANY MEDIA, as this will be considered cheating. We will disqualify you and you will be barred from our future contests.
□ Please enter your contestant ID and password to start your contest. GOOD LUCK CONTESTANTS!
