AMC stands for Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC). It is an annual national competition organised by Australian Mathematics Trust (AMT) since 1992 with the aims to identify the strength and weakness of students in Mathematical thinking skill and application.

Awards
Awards in the Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC) range from certificates for Participation and Proficiency to higher distinctions like Credit, Distinction, and High Distinction, awarded based on percentile ranks.
At the highest levels, a Prize is given to the top students in each region and year level, while the Peter O’Halloran Award for Excellence goes to students who achieve a perfect score.
There is also the Cheryl Praeger Medal, awarded to the top-scoring female student in Australia for their year level.
